Tajik State University of Commerce Hosts Round Table on the Role of Scientific Research in Legal Education and Anti-Corruption

On May 28, 2024, the Tajik State University of Commerce (TSUC), a partner of the MOCCA project in Central Asia, hosted a round table discussion on the topic "The Role of Scientific Research in the Formation of Legal Education: Anti-Corruption in Society." The round table was opened by Jamshed Nematulloevich Mashokirov, Vice-Rector for Science and International Relations at TSUC and Candidate of Economic Sciences. Mashokirov emphasized the main goal of the event, which was to discuss ways to increase anti-corruption awareness among representatives of science, education, and higher professional education institutions.

The round table was attended by faculty and researchers from various departments of the university, including: Professor Zarrina Kadirova, Associate Professor Ismatullo Ismatulloev, Zamira Kadirova, Researcher at the Department of Economics and Business Organization, Nurmuhammad Abdullozoda, Manager of the International Relations Department, Farrukh Aliyev, Head of the Department of Commercial Law and Anti-Corruption Law.

During the discussion, the project researchers presented their work on raising awareness to combat corruption, which they identified as one of the most dangerous and undesirable phenomena impeding society's development.

Additional speakers included Ph.D. Nabozoda S.Kh., Head of the Department of Humanities, Associate Professor Nemonov J.M., and Associate Professor Khamitov M.S., who shared their perspectives on the existing challenges and potential solutions related to the topic.

The round table provided a platform for valuable discourse on the critical role of scientific research in shaping legal education and addressing the pressing issue of anti-corruption in Tajikistan.

Through collaborative efforts and evidence-based approaches, the MOCCA project aims to strengthen the capacity of legal education institutions to cultivate a culture of integrity and foster a more transparent, accountable society.
