Patrik Olsson's Participation in International Conference on Legal Education and Science in Uzbekistan's Law Enforcement Sphere

As part of his secondment to Uzbekistan, Patrik Olsson participated in an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the first anniversary of the establishment of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The conference had the thematic topic "Legal Education and Science in the Law Enforcement Sphere: Current Trends and Future Directions."

The conference attracted diverse international and national specialists, experts, and participants from NGOs, the Council of Europe, OECD, UNODC, ministries, universities, agencies, regional departments, and institutes. These individuals brought a wide range of expertise on law enforcement, international standards in combating corruption, and issues related to crime prevention. The conference proved to be dynamic and powerful and facilitated important network contacts among participants who shared the mission of fighting corruption and preventing crime.

The Law Enforcement Academy of Uzbekistan also organized field visits to various locations, including Samarkand, the regional prosecutor's office in Andizjan, Mahallas in Asaka, the police department, and local schools. As a researcher, these visits provided Patrik Olsson with valuable insights into the daily operations and future work being conducted in these areas.
